Gordon having a nice Mc Donald's lunch at LAX as we waited for our flight to Kauai to board. While waiting, I received a call from an AP Environ Sci tutoring position that I applied to. I didn't feel like talking to him at the time, so I told him I'd call him after the flight (I forgot that it'd be way pass 5pm [LA time] by the time the plane lands).

We flew in economy class. There we're 3 seats on each side of the aisle; Gordon had window sit, I was in the middle, and there was a stranger in the aisle seat. The stranger went to another seat after he was allowed to remove his seat belt because "[his] seat was broken." *shrug* more room for us!

Before taking to the air at LAX.

Notice the background of this picture (everything that isn't the wing of the plane). This is us before take-off. Lets compare this to in the air (next picture).

Clouds... clouds so dense that you can't see through them! it was a long, boring 6 hours flight. I managed to pass the time by watching You Don't Mess with the Zohan (Gordon's laptop battery died early into the flight, sucks for him). Afterward, it was time to get fruity in the air by reading a magazine with pixs of half naked guys (ab exercises magazine) (poor Gordon couldn't read in the plane, so I can't imagine how painfully long the flight was for him). I was bored for the last hour and a half.

Our flight from LA to Kauai took longer than expected, so we landed late. This caused us to rush to retrieve our checked-in luggage and run for to the gate for the Oahu flight. We missed our flight and had to wait for the next available one (which wasn't that bad, only a 45min wait). Gordon was hungry so here he is eating his $1.25 airport, candy bar.

This is just a picture of the airport's very small courtyard.

A view outside of the waiting room's window before boarding the flight to Oahu.

We were suppose to board the 5:45pm flight, but we missed it.

Best part of the trip so far: DINNER!! LOCO MOCO (i think)!!! it's not spam, but it has gravy! rice, burger patty, and egg covered in gravy (i think most of these ingredients were microwave-cooked, it was still tasty). The can of coke was different, the shape of the upper half of the can had 4 ridges.
