30% chance rain my ass, look at the random scenic pictures!

Gordon and I wanted to try to a Loco Moco at L&L for breakfast, but it was sort of on the expensive side. Luckily, it was huge, so we got one and splitted it.

After breakfast, we decided to go to the aquarium today and saw this along the way. It was an art festival happening in the park near the aquarium/zoo area. It wasn't a big festival (no where close to Echo Park's lotus festival), and everything here was pretty expensive (like $60-200 posters).

These are just random pictures of the park. 4 doggies!! Silly birdy!!

We also passed by the zoo, but we're saving that for another day.

Commerson's frogfish

Magnificent snake eel

Ocellate river stingray

We made it to the aquarium!! It wasn't as crappy as I expected it to be (it looked incredibly small from the outside... almost Santa Monica Pier's aquarium's status). They had nice exhibits with charismatic organisms in recreated environments (that alone is an amazing feat) and informations about conservation, ecology, and the importance of diversity. There were also two enormous indoor tanks with giant organisms.

This was cool, mutualism! Gordon spotted it. It's a cleaner fish in the act of cleaning another fish.

IT's A MONK SEAL!!! enough said. AHHHHHHHAHAAAH so cute!! Wish I brought a bigger backpack (could've taken him home).

Random pictures of the aquarium's outdoor exhibits.

Six-fingered threadfin

We went back to our hotel to change into swimwear so we could get into the water. We heard about a parade that started at 4:30pm on the walk back, and saw this on our trip to the water (looks like people practicing for the parade).
We went to the beach and swam around and took in some sun. Then, wah-la! We missed the parade, but this was the aftermath.

Dinner tonight was leftovers from last night, a McDonald's banana pie, and half-priced bake goods from the market in the mall.
L&L Hawaiian BBQ in Hawaii! Is Loco Moco a name of a dish? I've never seen that at the L&L I go to, damn the mainlands!
